    Hello!

I'm buiding a model for the energy system in my region. I need to introduce biodiesel as a fuel, and I don't know where to find the data "carbon storaged in non-energy usage". Is it the same as for diesel? If not, does someone has any clue about it?

    Thank you,
    Marta

    Hi Marta,

For starters, see the link below for the documentation on fuels for a detailed description of each variable (including carbon stored in non-energy usage)

    http://tinyurl.com/2eno5zq

For clarification, that variable indicates the fraction of the carbon in the fuel (by weight) that remains permanently stored when the fuel is used for non-energy purposes.

Perhaps another COMMEND member can give you more advice on specific appropriate data.

    Cheers,

    Tory

    Thank you for your response!

I understand the concept, but still have no idea about the value, or where to find it. However, maybe it is not relevant as in my model biodiesel will always be used to obtain energy?
