Hi Nghiem,
The green category folders are meant to be used when you want to indicate a category branch at which energy intensities are specified at one level up from the actual energy-using devices. These branches are useful in three main cases:
1) where you have energy intensity data for an end-use, and only have fuel share data (not intensity data) for the fuels and devices within the end-use,
2) where you have devices that use more than one fuel, and
3) where you wish to conduct a Useful Energy Demand Analysis.
For more information on setting up categories, look at the user guide documentation here: http://tinyurl.com/2f8zdfr
TED's Data Pages include quantitative data on the technology characteristics, costs, and environmental impacts associated with specific energy technologies. Regardless of if you choose a regular category or category with aggregate energy intensity, you will be able to add emission factors with the TED database. I also recommend looking at Exercise 3 of the training materials as this walks you through setting up a sector with aggregate energy intensity. The training exercises can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/LEAP-training
Best,
