Does anyone know if it is possible to generate graphics with final energy consumption by sectors - domestic, industrial,...- with Leap? How can we do it?
    Thks

    Hi Mary,

This is indeed possible. If you haven't already, I recommend going through our Training Exercises found at the url below, specifically exercise two. This exercise will give an overview of setting up the data and viewing results for the demand side.

In short, you must first set up your demand tree structure such that it is broken down by sector, like the structure below:

    Demand
    - Domestic
    - Industrial
    - Commercial
    - Transport

Once you are in the results view, you can go to the "show" drop down menu and select "Demand: Energy Demand Final Units" with the Demand branch highlighted on the tree to the left. Then set up the table so that the x-axis shows years and the right legend shows branches. Once you have configured the chart, you can select one of the export icons on the far right. These allow you to export a chart as a graphic, export tables to Excel, or export a graph to PowerPoint.

    Best,

    Tory

    Thank you Tory!

But I think that you cannot generate a global chart where you can see what is the percentage of final energy consumption for all the sectors (in the same chart)

    You only can generate:
    - a chart with each sector consumption (for instance domestic sector);
    - a chart with all the energy consumption of demand (but you can not see there the disagregation per sector)...

    Regards,
    Mary

    Hi Mary,

I might be misunderstanding you, but this seems to me still possible in LEAP, as I described. Please see the chart on page 35 of the training materials to see if this is what you are talking about:

    http://www.energycommunity.org/documents/LEAPTrainingExercisesEnglish2010.pdf

If so, then it may be that your demand structure is less straight forward than the one I suggested in my previous post (with sector folders immediately below the Demand folder). In that case you may need to click on the "More" button and increase the levels that are being shown at the time.

If that chart is not what you are looking for, can you please describe again what chart you are trying to create so I can better understand how to help?

    Thanks!

    Tory
