    Hello,

I am just beginning to learn how to use LEAP, but all my future results in Exercise 1. However my inputs (2000) seem to be correct. Could you help me understand what I did wrong? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Argiro,

Thank you for sending your file. It seems like you entered in all of the data correctly, but there is one discrepancy.

You included population and households data under the key assumption branch both for the current accounts scenario and the reference scenario. All of this is correct.

I see that you also added households data in the "Households" demand branch directly as 8 Million (as the Activity Level variable). This is entirely separate from the key assumptions.

In this case, LEAP is not using the data you entered in the key assumptions and is only using the 8 million current accounts value from the demand branch. Since in the Households branch you did not specify any growth in the reference scenario, all of the future year values do not match the exercise.

To fix this error you have 2 options:

    1. To correctly use the key assumptions data you must reference it under the appropriate demand branch. In this case you would use the expression "Key\Number of households" for the activity level variable at the Households branch. This points back to the data entered under the key assumptions branch. You can either enter this expression in directly or drag and drop the "Number of Households" branch into the builder tab on the bottom right of the screen.

    2. You can avoid using the key assumptions screen entirely and enter the values directly into the demand branch. In your case that would mean changing the reference scenario activity level for the Households branch to "Growth(3%)".

    Hope this helps,

    Tory
