    Hi!

I have a question about emissions from Natural Gas leakage.

I have data, of how much Methane is emitted from Natural Gas leakages from Transmission, from Power Stations and from Households.

Should I enter this data similarly to the transmission losses of electricity(percentage of electricity produced)?
But in that case, my model doesn't produce Natural Gas. All Natural Gas is imported(transmission losses from import). How does LEAP know then, from what the percentage to take?

Or is there some other way to enter this Natural Gas Leakage data?

    Best,

    Tanel

    Hi Tanel,

Here was a recent forum post on a similar topic: http://tinyurl.com/4jgco32

Perhaps you can get in touch with Sarada to see how you might be able to help each other.

The most simple solution would be to create a category in the non-energy branch for natural gas flaring if you already have the data. I'm sure there would be other ways to model this, but I have not tried it myself.
