    Hello,

I have a question concerning the Non energy sector. Our national energy information system (greece) includes in the Demand Sector the Non energy sector. So it provides annual consumption data on petroleum products and natural gas mostly. I do not think there are available data on the emissions of the Non-energy sector, do you think I should exclude this sector from the Demand branch in LEAP anyway?

Could I add it as a separate branch, or is it impossible without the emissions data?

    Thank you in advance.

    Sincerely,

    Argiro Roinioti.

    Hi Argiro,

I recommend including as much data as possible in your dataset. Any sector that consumes energy should be included under the Demand branch in LEAP, including the non-energy sector.

Ideally, a dataset would have both a demand branch with energy consumption and a non-energy branch with additional emissions, but include as much as you can.

    Best,

    Tory

    Dear Tory,

I only have the different quantities of coal, natural gas and petroleum products used in the petrochemical industry and other sectors (not specified). However, as you suggested, I will incluede these data in the Demand branch.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Best Regards,

    Argiro.
