    Hello,

I have a question concerning a transformation sector. Oil and gas extraction is grouped together in the National Information system for energy (I guess it has something to do with the extraction process).
In Leap I have accordingly inserted a category called "oil and gas extraction". Am I supposed to use the same output fuel shares and feedstock fuel shares (80.8% of the production is oil and 19.2% is natural gas)?

    Thank you in advance.

    Best Regards,

    Argiro

    Hi Argiro,

In the absence of more specific information, I would use the same feedstock fuel shares and output fuel shares. I have never modeled extraction in this way, but I imagine it would not pose a problem in calculations.

Let me know if the output results make sense. And if other users have encountered this data situation in the past, please post your approaches.

    Best,

    Tory

A doubt: In extraction there is losses (simple to solve in leap) but there is also the reinjection of gas (i.e. it is not a loss). and it is sometimes important to follow this amount. Any idea?
