    Hi all

Does anybody out there have a working LEAP dataset for Bangladesh which we could have access to for a student project?

I've been approached by a Masters student at Copenhagen University who'd like to do a study on Bangladesh looking at links between energy, economic development and GHG emissions.

We would support the student from the UNEP Risø Centre and guarantee proper use of the data.

    Regards

    Gordon

    Hi Gordon,

In the autumn of 2008, I supervised a 7th sem. group on our Master's program in "Sustainable energy planning and management" at Aalborg University, Denmark (consider it an ad) that developed a Bangladesh LEAP dataset. It is highly aggregate on the demand side, detailed on central electricity generation, basically listed every plant. From what I remember, their alternative scenarios were a bit misunderstood, as these did not meet the same energy requirements as their reference.

I have uploaded their report and dataset. If they read this, I hope the forgive me for sharing :-)

Thanks Morten. I'll pass it on to the student.
