    Hello,

I tried to make an optimization scenario following the directions in the optimization start guide. It seems that the capital cost annualization method must be set to "no annualization", and the load shape for the entire system entered as "percent of annual generation", according to the error messages I got. However, the second one is a problem for me, because I have entered the load shape as percent of the peak load.

Is this a prerequisite for the optimization scenario to run?

    Thank you in advance.

    Sincerely,

    Argiro Roinioti

    Hi Argiro,

I apologize for the delay in responding. The optimization calculations are still being refined within LEAP, so when you encounter an issue, please first check to see if you have the most recent version of LEAP.

We now have a training exercise to introduce the optimization capabilities of LEAP. I recommend you take a look at that and let me know if it answers your questions.

You can find that exercise on our training materials page (www.tinyurl.com/LEAPTrainingMaterials) as exercise 6 in the general purpose materials.

    Best,

    Tory
