    Dear Charlie,

I like to ask a question electricity own-use. According to the Help facility, own-use should be entered as auxiliary fuel. I did that but I have a problem with the resulting energy balance table. The amount of own-use is reflected as unmet requirements. Is there a way to avoid this problem?

I set the property of electricity in the Resources as "Iterate Calculations...." but the own-use is still reflected as unmet requirements.

I hope for your immediate response.

    Best regards,
    Tran Thanh Lien, APERC

    Hi Tran Lien,

Can you please tell me which version and version number of LEAP you are using. This will be available on the status bar on the bottom of your version of LEAP or by going to Help: About LEAP.

    Thanks!

    Tory

    Thank you for the information,

It appears that there is a small bug associated with the iterating calculations for auxiliary fuel use within a transformation process.

For now, there is a work-around. You can go to the Basic Parameters: Calculations screen and un-check (switch off) the "Meet auxiliary energy needs form output of same process where possible" option. This is the component that is not working correctly. If you leave this off, the calculations should iterate correctly.

We will investigate a solution to this bug and I will let you know when it is fixed.

Additionally, I recommend updating to the latest version of LEAP (2011.0.0.26) to stay up to date on other bug fixes and features.

    Best,

    Tory

    Hi Tran Lien,

Can you tell me if this bug persists in the latest version of LEAP (2011.0.0.37)? If so, we will continue to work on it for an upcoming release of LEAP.

    Thanks!
