I tried to follow the instruction but this kept on popping out:-

"System Peak Load Shape variables must be specified with a yearly shape of type: "Peak Load Shape". The base year shape you selected is type: Energy Load Shape
Go to the General: Yearly Shapes screen to view the current library of yearly shapes.

And I can't seem to run my results because of this. Anyone, help please?

    Thanks.

    Hi Dina,

Please give a bit more information on the issue you're having so that we can best answer your question. Please tell us ...

    - the version you are using (check help: about in LEAP),

    - the exercise and page you are working on in the training materials,

    - the exact error messages you are getting,

    - and all of the steps someone would take to replicate the error (i.e. how would I see what you are seeing).

    Thanks!

    Hi Tory,

I meet the same question with the Dina's.

    -the version of LEAP:2012.0.0.47
-I followed the exercise 6, and when I want to see the result, the error appeared.
-"System Peak Load Shape variables must be specified with a yearly shape of type: "Peak Load Shape". The base year shape you selected is type: Energy Load Shape
Go to the General: Yearly Shapes screen to view the current library of yearly shapes.
    Branc:Transformation\Electricity Generation
    Variable:System Peak Load Shape
    Scenario:Current Accounts
    Year:2010
    Expression:YearlyShape(System Load Shape)"

    Need your help.
    Thanks!

    Hi,

The problem is with the way you specified your load shape data.

As the error message indicates, you need to go to the General: Yearly Shapes screen. Look for the general menu at the top of the screen in Analysis View.

You will see that your load shape has the type "Energy Load Shape". That is, the data is entered as a percentage fraction of annual energy loads. But for this exercise you need to specify a load duration curve in which each data point is specified as a percentage fraction of the peak load.

You need to first change the Shape Type for your load shape and then reenter the data.

But you may ask, why does it need a Load Duration Curve in this case? That's because on the General: Basic Parameters screen: Loads tab, you have chosen "Load Shape for Entire System (% of Peak Generation).

    I hope this helps,

    Charlie

    Hi Charles,

Thank you very much. I forgoten to choose "Load Shape for Entie System(% of Peak Generation) on the General: Basic Parameters. Now the problem has been solved.

    Best Wishes!
