    Hi,

I'm doing the training exercises to get to know LEAP better but I've failed to match my Energy Balance of Exercise 3: Transformation, with the tables on page 39. I've got no production of solid fuels, just imports. And I have no clue what's wrong. I checked that I've got Resources for solid fuels, 1 Trillion tonne of wood. What else does 'Solid fuel' mean in this case?

Actually, almost none of the numbers in the tables match with mine.

Until now, all numbers has matched with the answers in the stencil.

I'm guessing it has something to do with Properties or Resource import, but I don't know what.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand this part of the training exercise? Have anyone a some idea what I possibly could have missed?

    Regards

    Josefine

    Hi Josefine,

It seems that you forgot to put 100% saturation in the transformation module "Coal Mining". Check as well the dispatch rule, it should be "Percent Share".

If you has the process to produce some secondary fuel (in the case of coal mining is more like a conditioning and cleaning than a transformation itself) but you never dispatch it you will have to import the fuel.

If you go to menu "General:Fuels" you can see the list of fuels used in the area and the grouping clasification. Solid fuels in freedonia only has Coal Bituminous, wood and charcoal are gruped as biomass.

    Regards,
    Francisco.
