    Hi there,

I cannot update the latest version of LEAP, even my user has been set as administrator. What should I do? Any suggestion for this problem.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards,

    Jakapong.

    Hi Jakapong,

Can you please give us some more information so that we can better diagnose your problem? Specifically, it would be helpful to know the following:

    1. What version are you updating to (the latest is LEAP 2012.0031)?

    2. What version are you updating from (our records show that your last full update from the website was LEAP 2012.0020)?

    3. What version of Windows are you using (XP, Vista, Windows 7)?

    4. What happens step-by-step when you try to install LEAP? Are you doing a full install (i.e. installing from the setup file downloaded from the website) or from within LEAP (i.e. by going to the Help: Check For updates menu in LEAP or when LEAP prompts you to update)?

    5. What is the exact text of the error messages that you get in LEAP or Windows?

    6. Have you tried this more than once? Does the problem happen the same way each time?

    Thanks!

    Tory

    Dear Tory,

Thank you very much for your kind support and prompt reply. I am using LEAP 2012.0020 and try to update to version 2012.0030. My OS is Windows 7. When I tried to update by going to "Check for updates menu" LEAP shows me that I cannot update since my user is not administrator, but it is. However, I have uninstalled the old version and re-installed new version already. Now I can use the new version (2012.0030).

Thank you again for your support.

    Regards,

    Jakapong.

    Hi Jakapong,

Uninstalling LEAP and doing a full reinstall from the website is a good approach for troubleshooting installation problems. I'm glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue.

    Best,

    Tory
