    Hello,

I am using the Energy Model template and after inputting my data there appears to be no "production" data for the Energy balance result, apart from 1.5million GJ Remewables (it should be around 927 million GJ all-together).

For renewable resources, I have inputted the data into the "Yield" section of the "Primary resources" category.

The non-renewable resources are placed in the "Exogeneous Capacity" within the "Processes" section of the Transformation section.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Many thanks

    Alice

    Hi Alice,

To indicate that you have non-renewable resources, you need to add "Base Year Reserves" (found in the Primary Resources category in Current Accounts) and "Additions to Reserves" (found in Primary Resources in scenarios).

The exogenous capacity is talking about the capacity to use that resource at a particular efficiency and availability at any given year. If you have capacity but no reserves of resources (i.e. production) LEAP assumes you need to import that resource to meet the capacity needs.

The outputs of a process (e.g. electricity generation) will be reported in the Transformation section of the energy balance.

    Best,

    Tory
