Hi Wang,
Thank you for your questions. Let me respond to each one and see if we can help you continue on with the exercises.
1. The "Environmental Loading" factor is a variable (not a branch) where you add emission factors and other environmental loadings. This variable will only be visible if you are at a technology branch (within a demand sector) or fuel branch (within a transformation sector).
Under the demand branch, the technology branches are typically represented by grey gear icons (this represents an activity level analysis, which is what we use in Freedonia). If you select a technology branch on the tree, the "Environmental Loading" branch should appear within the list of variables to the right. If not, you should check your Basic Parameters (to get here use the top toolbar or go to the General: Basic Parameters menu option) and ensure that on the "Scope" tab the "Energy Sector Environmental Loadings" option is checked ON.
2. I'm not sure I understand you here. When you create a technology demand branch you select a name and a fuel. Then you may edit the expression associated with that branch in the right part of the screen on the Final Energy Intensity variable tab. There you have the option to change the fuel at the associated branch, but it will do just that - change the fuel. You should not edit the Fuel column unless you want to change the fuel at that level, you do not need to change it there otherwise.
3. You should have cooking for both electrified and non-electrified for rural areas. You want to indicate that there is the same distribution of cooking stoves among rural households, regardless of whether they are connected to the electric grid or not. This means that even electrified rural households do not use electric stoves.
Best,
Tory
