    Dear Sir/Madam,
I have generated a model. I have some doubts which are as under.
1)In the diagram view, the output of transmission and transmission and distribution module is not seen given to demand. What can be the reason?
2)I have taken the base year as 2011, while the projection is done up to 2030. In the result view, 'Transformation:Average energy not despached', the result in year 2011 only shows 6400 MW. Rest of the years show zero value. I have a doubt that I did something wrong.
3)In the Transformation:Actual reserve margin result view shows varying values. Also Transformation: Required reserve margin shows zero value.I have set the planning reserve margin as 30. Kindly explain.
    4) I have not specified the system load shape (using time slices). Is it necessary.
    Thank you very much,
    Regards
    Rajesh Kale

    Hi Rajesh,

Sorry for the delay in replying to your post. I can't say very much without some more information about your model, though. Are you working on one of the LEAP Training exercises?

In regards to your second question, make sure that you've specified enough exogenous capacity in the base year to meet your demand (not just endogenous capacity, which is built if LEAP decides it's necessary). It's possible that in the first simulation year, there isn't enough electricity generation to meet your demand, but that new plants are built in subsequent years.

In regards to your fourth question, perhaps it would help to read a little bit about the System Energy Load Shape tab, here: http://www.energycommunity.org/WebHelpPro/Transformation/System_Energy_Load_Shape.htm.

Hope this gets you on the right track,

    Taylor
