    Hi
I am new to LEAP, and I urgently needs to do electricity Demand analysis for my country of interest (Nigeria). I have actually sent and article to Energy (an ISI-indexed Journal- Published by Elsevier) and the peer review process requested for an analysis using any popular energy forecasting model. I thought I could go this easily with LEAP; but my time limit for the corrections may not warrant me to go through the manual (learn your self process). Please I need some one to give me tips on how to use LEAP to archive this goal. I will acknowledge this/these person(s) efforts in the paper.

    Hi there,

Although LEAP is a relatively user-friendly piece of software I'm afraid your expectations may not be reasonable. It's not really possible to use LEAP for a serious modeling exercise unless you have taken the time to learn it by at least going through the basic training exercises. This probably will take a week or so of your time. Even then, many people find that they also need some level of training in order to become reasonably proficient.

Perhaps I am being pessimistic, but that has been my experience. Perhaps other users can give some advice?

    I hope this helps,

    Charlie

    Hi everybody,
I suggest you to check all articles related to energy demand forecasting in LEAP. Especially, I remember correctly there are two or third article covering the same topic for Japan and China. They really explained how to use the LEAP for energy demand analysis. They will be really helpful to understand what kind of parameters are needed. However, as Charlie said that, to learn LEAP correctly, you to cover all documents especially manuals.
