    Hello everyone,

In the Freedonia model, the results of the Transmission and Distribution in Mitigation scenario and Reference scenario were not the same (there are two lines in results). But the data of the parameter "Losses" of the Electricity and the Natural gas in different scenarios were the same. Differences in the results from where?

    Need your help. Thank you!

    Best Wishes!

    Hi Yuan,

I assume, because you mentioned the 'Mitigation' scenario, that you're working through Exercise 4 in the training materials?

The Results view is very customized, and it's difficult to know what you're looking at without a little more information. While it's true that in Exercise 4, the Transmission and Distribution branch has only one process (electricity) which depends on only one parameter, the output from Transmission and Distribution depends upon the demand requirements, and the supply mix that is fed into the module.

If you can be more specific, perhaps I could better address your question?

    Good luck,

    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

I am not working through Exercise 4 in the training materials but in my own model. and I found the same result in the Freedonia model.

What I mean the "result" is that at the view bar choose the results, in the tree choose the "Transmission and Distribution", show the "Transformation Outputs",choose all fules and all scenario. Then the chart shows there are two curves do not overlap. that means the Transformation Output are different in different scenario.

You mentioned that the output from Transformation and Distribution depends upon the demand requirements and the supply mix that is fed into the module. is that means different data of the demand and supply may lead to different Transformation output?

    Thank you.

    Hi Yuan,

Yes, if you have different levels of demand (say, for electricity) for different scenarios, then the amount of electricity that will need to come from the Transformation module will differ, as long as you have sufficient generation capacity.

When you view Results for the Transmission and Distribution branches, by fuel and scenario, as you mentioned, you're not only looking at the losses that you entered in the Analysis view; you're looking at the total output (by fuel, of course) which is affected by many of the other values you enter in your scenarios.

I still feel like I haven't quite grasped your question. If this is still unsatisfactory, maybe you could send me a screenshot, or your data set, describing the problem to leap@sei-us.org.

    Hope this helps,

    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

Your explanation is very clear. and I have got it.

    Thank you very much!
