Hi, I have just installed v 2012.0.0.49, and after the splash screen I get "Fatal Error: failed to connect to database with error "NexusDB: nxTransportNP: cannot locate or connect to network server [$2C0E/11278]. Leap will now close.

    Hi Luciano,

I see that you applied for a LEAP license overnight, but submitted this error before I had a change to approve your license application.

Now that I've done that, follow the instructions in the confirmation email that you should have receive, and try again. It sounds like your error was due a yet-unregistered copy of LEAP not being able to connect to our database.

    Hope this helps,

    Taylor

    Dear Taylor,
I just installed and tried to start LEAP recieving the same error code as above.

I have now received the licence code, which was accepted, but still receive the error code and LEAP closes.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Let me just ask a few basic questions, and we can proceed from there.

    1) When you installed LEAP, did you do so as a computer administrator? You can ensure this by right-clicking on LEAP's setup.exe file and selecting 'Run as Administrator'.

    2) Which operating system (and exactly which version of that operating system, i.e. Windows 7 Home Edition) do you have installed on your computer?

    3) Just to confirm - have you downloaded and installed the most recent version of LEAP (version 2012.0.0.56)?

Let me know the answers to these questions, and in the meantime, you might try to re-install LEAP (or install it on a different computer to see if there error is specific to your computer).

    Thanks,

    Taylor

    Hej Taylor,

thanks for your prompt response. Reinstalling and entering the licence code on the first start up did its job. It is working now.

Just for your information. I am using Windows 8 Professional 64Bit, used the most recent version of LEAP and also installed as administrator.

    Thanks,
    Dennis
