    Dear

The generation process in the transformation module asks for the Exogenous Capacity and LIfetime. If I enter Exogenous Capacity as 100MW and its Lifetime as 30 years (in current year/base year 2010 and inherit the same in the reference scenario till2050). will this Exogenous capacity will be zero after 30 years, mean in year 2040 or I need to do retiring the unit manually in the reference scenario.

if required to do manual, then what is the us of this entry for Lifetime of the plant/unit of power generation.

    Hi Muhammad,

Exogenously-specified capacity does not retire automatically. This variable is used to specify exactly how much existing/planned capacity exists in each year, giving full control to the user.

The 'Lifetime' variable is used for endogenous capacity. See here:

For specific questions about LEAP's variables or functions, have a look through our online help guide, http://www.energycommunity.org/WebHelpPro/LEAP.htm.

    Hope this helps,
