I want to add pure palm oil (PPO) but i don't have any information about this kind of fuel. Is there any fuel in LEAP has similar properties (energy content, composition,etc)to pure palm oil?

1909 Views Hi Ahmad,
Currently, LEAP does not maintain any information on oily crops in its Fuels database, but you're able to add new entries as you see fit, if you need them in your model.
I'd expect that the characteristics aren't too dissimilar to other biodiesel feedstocks, such as jatropha or castor oils. In the meantime, an internet search gave me:
Elneel, R. et al. Prediction of Heating Values of Oil Palm Fronds from Ultimate Analysis. J. Applied Sci., 13(3):491-496, 2013.
...which seemed to suggest heating values of oil palm fronds near ~16 MJ/kg. Perhaps it's a place to start, or references therein?
