    Hi,

I'm trying to assignate TED to my Municipal Solid Waste Power Plant. If I'm not mistaken, IPCC Tier 1 doesn't have emission factor for this technology. I've tried to use IPCC Tier 2 factor (Mass Burn Waterwall Combustors), but when Global Warming results are displayed no data is shown for this technology.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Oriol,

The particular technology that you're referencing has only three emissions factors associated with it:

Carbon Dioxide Biogenic ('biogenic' implies that it is sustainably grown, and therefore emissions are considered part of the carbon cycle)
    Carbon Monoxide
    Nitrogen Oxides NOx

Since none of these are directly greenhouse gases, they are assigned global warming potentials of zero (you can see this by clicking 'Effects' on LEAP's main menu).

You're free to modify the technology's emission factors (in TED) as you see fit - these are simply LEAP's default values.

    Hope this helps,

    Taylor
