Dear Taylor,

I'm trying to create shapefile with regions of Kazakhstan for mapping through mapinfo, but it doesn't work this way. What software do you use to create shapefiles?

Hi Inna,

Can you explain specifically what you mean when you say it doesn't work? If you're seeing some kind of error or unexpected results, please include some details about the problem and the steps that I can go through to reproduce it. It would also help if you emailed me the shapefile that you're trying to use, by sending it to leap@sei-us.org.

To answer your question, though, it should not matter how the shapefile is generated.
