    Dear Charles,

I was helping my friend with installing LEAP and WEAP software. The installation ran succesfully on both programs. Somehow the problem occured while we open area "WEAP-LEAP tutorial".

The error says like this >>
    -------------------------
Use of area "WEAP-LEAP tutorial" requires SEI's WEAP water planning software. However, WEAP does not seem to be installed on this computer.

Visit the WEAP web site at www.weap21.org to get the latest version of WEAP.

Do you want to go there now?
    -------------------------

This error message shows up on LEAP window. The message shows either way I open LEAP first or WEAP first. The case is we have installed both program at the most updated version.

    Please help,
    Thank you.

    -Pinto-

ps: this topic also posted in WEAP forum, hope I can get the answer from there too.

    Hi Pinto,

Hope it's okay if I answer this. A small number of users have reported seeing this problem, and Jack Sieber, the WEAP developer, is responding to those issues individually for now.

However, I can report that a new version of WEAP will be released in the near future, which will resolve this issue.

    Best,

    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

    thanks for your fast responses.

Actually, I have another issues if you don't mind.
First time we installed LEAP, there was an error too.

The message says like this >>
    ----------------
Error: Access violation at address 013EC05B in module 'leap.exe' Read of address 000009A8
    Type: EAccessViolation
    File: LEAPUtil.pas
    Module: LEAPUtil
    Line: 10011
    Process: GetSysInfo
    ----------------

then a few moment later LEAP was closed automatically.

    Any solution?
    thanks

    Pinto

    Hi Pinto,

Unfortunately, I can't say very much without more information. What operating system are you using? What version of LEAP were you trying to install? Was the error repeatable, and if so, what are the exact steps taken to make the error appear?

Also, if you don't mind, could you start a new thread on our forums with a new subject line? That way it's easier for other users to search for exactly what they're looking for.

    Thanks very much,

    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

Alright, I'll start a new thread about this problem. Thank you for reminding me.

Anyway, about this one I probably need to post an image (a printscreen capture) of the error message. How could I post this?

    Thanks

    Hi Pinto,

Yes, this is a good question. There is currently no way to do this on our forums - though we know it would be a good function to add.

You can email me any screenshots at leap@sei-us.org if you'd like.

    Best,

    Taylor
