When I do exercise 4 in Training Exercise 2012, I meet some problems.

a.I have Final Energy Intensity for Other Industry in current scenario, but only have Useful Energy Intensity in Industrial Energy Efficiency Scenario. Why?

b.When I click Summary, it shows me a dialog "Area specifies costs of saved energy relative to scenario "Current Accounts", but that scenario is not set to be calculated." What should I do?

    Please help me.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jiayao,

    a) In our training materials, the 'Other Industry' category should *not* be a Useful Energy Analysis - it should be only a 'Category with Energy Intensity'. You can check this by looking at the Properties of the Other Industry branch.

    b) This is actually an error in the current version of LEAP - we hope to address this shortly, with the next version. This dialog box appears when you use the 'Cost Saved Energy' method in the Demand Cost variable, and select Current Accounts under the 'Compared to Scenario' menu. However, the training materials instruct you to choose your Reference scenario from this menu, not Current Accounts - this will get around the problem until we're able to resolve it.

As a final note, if you load the 'Freedonia' area (be sure to save your project before doing this!), and then select Area: Revert to Version, you can load completed versions of all of the training exercises, including Exercise 4. This is useful for comparing your own work to the 'answer key'.

    Hope this helps!
