    Hello Charlie,

I'm a newcomer for LEAP model. I'm using it to simulate transport sector. One of the problems I encountered is that CO2 emission factors (method: per unit energy consumed) works, and that CO/Nox emission factors (method: per unit travel) don't work. Becasue I don't find the results of CO/NOx. Could you help me solve it?

Another question is why Activity Level can be input in some sub-branch under Demand. And in other sub-branches of the same level we can't find the variable of "Activity Level". Hope you can give an explanation for me.

    Thanks a lot.

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

Before I answer your first question, could you better describe exactly that you've done in LEAP that is not showing results? Please include details like the kind of demand branches you've inserted, and how you have added emission factors to this branch, where you would expect to see CO and NOx emissions.

To your second questions - the Activity Level variable appears only where it is needed. It sounds like you might be conducting a Transport Stock Turnover analysis, which is different than an Activity Analysis, so you will not see the Activity Level. have a look here for a description of different demand analysis methods:

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Taylor,

Today i think i have the same problem. I simulatde transportation include energy demand and its emission. I use TED button in Environmental Loadings to add the emission factor.
In Results window, we normally see the option to show: Data variable, Energy demand final unit, transportation, resources, environmental, etc. But, today i can't see the environmental in result view.
Hope you can explain this problem.

    Thank you

    Hi Ahmad,

Please first make sure that you are using the most up-to-date version of LEAP (you can check by clicking Help: Check for Updates, from LEAP's main menu).

In the Basic Params: Scope window, it sounds like you have correctly checked the box next to 'Energy Sector Environmental Loadings', which is how you were able to add the emissions from TED in the first place. But to display Environmental Results, you must also click the 'Edit List of Results Variables to Save' (also in the Scope tab) and make sure that 'Energy Sector Environmental Loadings' are selected. After this, they should appear in your results.

By the way - these options are provided so that you can enable/disable the calculation of certain results, if they're unnecessary or you want your model to calculate faster.

    Hope this helps,

    Taylor
