    Hello,
I tried to import hourly load shape from the excel sheet. But I could not import it. After I enter the excel range and profile name, there is no response in the model.
I had already opened the excel sheet and typed the column name as heading but no use. I have tried many times.
Could you help me on this?

    Hi Niraj,

When you say that there is no response from the model, can you tell me if LEAP gives you a warning or an error message? Please walk me through the exact steps that you take when you try to import the load shape, as well as any messages that appear.

There are a few things required for LEAP to be able to import load shapes (or any other data) from Excel. First, of course you need to have MS Excel installed on your computer, and be sure that your operating system is not any of the Windows 'Starter' editions. Your Time Slices also need to be defined using the 'Detailed' option (read this page for a description of what that means http://www.energycommunity.org/WebHelpPro/Supporting_Screens/Time_Slices.htm ).

When you import load shape data, LEAP expects your Excel data to be in either a single row or column of length 8760 cells (one for each consecutive hour of the year), or in a 24x365 (hours x days)or 365x24 (days x hours) grid. You need to assign the Excel range a name, so that you can select that name from a menu when you perform the import.

Hope these few points help you - but please let me know more details, as I've described in the first paragraph.
