I have an evaluation version of LEAP (cannot save work). I am trying to assess LEAP capabilities and flexibilities for a project. I am on Para 1.4.2 Electricity Generation (page 23)of the LEAP Training Exercises. Exercise asks to set correct properties for Electricity Generation.... and provides example of screen Transformation Module Properties at the top of the page.

When I go to Transformation or Electricity Generation and try to set properties, I receive a completely different screen. entitled "Basic Parameters" which is not the same as what appears in the training exercise manual.

Suggestions or corrections?

Hi James,

To disable the 'evaluation version', you need to enter a valid username and registration code, using Help: Register Online (selected from LEAP's main menu). I see that you have already been granted a short term license, so I've emailed these license details to you.

To view the Transformation Module Properties screen, shown on p. 23 of our Basic Training Materials, are you right-clicking on the branch and selecting 'Properties'? This should display the module properties window, not the Basic Parameters window. Basic Parameters is instead accessible by clicking the button in LEAP's toolbar entitled 'Basic Params' (or pressing Alt-B on your keyboard).

Note that some small changes in LEAP 2014 (released three days ago, on 6/6/14) mean that there will be some slight aesthetic differences between LEAP 2014 and the training manual. The manual was created with an older version of LEAP, but we are in the process of upgrading it.

Please let me know if you continue to have problems, and we can proceed form there,
