    hello,
I wonder how to do with the intermediate products in industry process. For example,in the iron and steel industry, one input of the ironing is coke which is the output of the carbonizing.I want to consider the demand of the iron and steel, but how to do with the intermediate product coke.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ella.

    Hi Ella,

I would treat this as a separate input fuel for your 'Iron and Steel' demand branch. For an activity analysis, you would then need to calculate the amount of each input (of electricity, coke, etc...) per unit of output (i.e. tonnes of iron and steel), and write that number into the Final Energy Intensity of each fuel.

If coke is produced domestically, you would then also want to include a transformation module that produces coke.

    Does that make sense?
