    Hi Jin,

The Cost of Saved Energy Method can be selected as a cost method under the Demand Cost variable in LEAP. For this to appear, you must have Costs enabled in LEAP's Basic Params: Scope. You may want to review our help file on the topic:

    http://www.energycommunity.org/WebHelpPro/Demand/Demand_Cost_Analysis.htm

Can you elaborate on the problem you have when trying to select it?

    Best,
    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

Thanks very much for your help,I have find the "cost method" and get the box of "cost of saved energy units".

And then I've got another question about the cost unit in exercise 4.3.5.
In the manual, the capital cost energy unit is kw, that is $/kw. However, in my exercise, the default unit is Megawatt, that is to say the the capital cost unit is $/MW. Besides, I can't change the energy unit Megawatt, I think the unit Megawatt is inherited from the capacity so I can't change it. And the fixed OM cost is similar.

Is it necessary to change the unit?

    Hello Jin,

I'l investigate the issue of not being able to change units for the costs.

In the meantime, please make sure that whichever value you enter into the cost variables is specified using the same units as shown in LEAP.

    Best,

    Taylor
