    Hi,
I have an old LEAP model that I need to renew. Unfortunately I only have it saved as rar archive. I tried to rearchive it as zip but current LEAP wouldn't open it,saying that it is not valid LEAP area. Is it possible to download older version of LEAP to save this model as .leap and open in new version? Or what else can I do?

    Thanks a lot.
    Anna

    Hi Anna,

Do you know what version of LEAP you last used? It may be possible to simply relabel the *.zip file using a *.leap suffix instead. Before renaming the zip archive, ensure that it does not contain any subdirectories (it should simply contain all of the raw database files).

Once you've created the *.leap archive, open an updated version of LEAP as administrator (try searching for it in your Start menu, right-clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator"). Then open your file in LEAP by selecting Area: Install: Install from File. There should be some automatic upgrades that take place as the file is converted.

Please let me know how this goes,

    Taylor
