I am trying to use RegionValue to refer to a time sliced variable (maximum availability) in another region, which is, in turn, read from an excel file. I used "RegionValue(Zambia)" for the region Zimbabwe, but the values under Zimbabwe are all zero (even though the Zambia region has correct values). Is there a problem using RegionValue with a time sliced parameter?

Hi Randall,

Hm - I can't reproduce this by reading time slice values into Maximum Availability from an Excel range, and then referencing that value using the RegionValue() function. Have you tried selecting Area: Force Refresh of Excel Links?

If you sent me a trimmed-down version of your model (perhaps with only the Zambia and Zimbabwe regions) I'll have a look at it.
