    Hi Salaheddine,

I can't be sure - can you tell me exactly when it appears? For example, does it appear immediately after you submit an expression using the Interp() function, which references an external Excel document? Or does it appear when you try to calculate results?

Either way, please also make sure that you are running the most up-to-date version of LEAP. You can check by selecting Help: Check for Updates, from the main menu.

    Best,
    Taylor

    Dear Taylor,

I also got a "number too large" error, recently.

This happens after I applied an endogenous technological learning (TL) expression. But, the error only occur in my new laptop (with windows 10) using the latest version of LEAP. The LEAP file was made in my previous laptop and it also has a technological learning expression, but it works fine there. When I opened the file in my new laptop, the error appeared. However, when I turned off the scenario that has TL expression (only turned on the scenarios without TL expression) there was no error. So, I assume that the cause of the error is the TL expression that I entered in the capital cost tab.

Here is the expression that I use:
    Step(2019,BaseYearValue,2020,BaseYearValue*(PrevYearValue(Capacity[MW])/Value(Capacity[MW],2019))^(-0.915935735))

    Any suggestion?

    Thanking you in advance!

    Best,
    Kamia

    Hi Kamia -

It's hard to say. Can you send me (to leap@sei-us.org) a minimal version of your model, including both scenarios with and without your technological learning expression?

    Thanks,
    Taylor
