While doing the Exercise 5.6, I created key assumptions for each set of emission factors and tried to link them to each vehicle technology.

I named the emission factors as:
Gasoline CO2 EF(EF is for Emission Factor)
    Gasoline CO EF
    Gasoline NOx EF
    ...
    Diesel CO2 EF
    ...

However the system warned "Unrecognized reference: "\"" (see also in attached screen shot) for the links to emission factors of CO and CO2 under both Gasoline and Diesel but other links worked very well.

I tried several times and found that if I delete "CO" "CO2", such as rename them as "Gasoline Carbon Dioxide EF"" Gasoline Carbon Minoxide EF", then the problem is gone.

But I also noticed that in the completed exercise "Transport Excercise" Area, it was just named as "CO2""CO"under the key Assumptions branch (see attached screen shot).

Now I'm confused what's wrong with this?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Best,
    Junling

    Hi Junling,

In the current version of LEAP, we are aware of problems referencing branch or variable names which contain certain keywords. Right now this set of keywords includes both the strings "CO" and "CO2", so I suggest that you rename these branches to exclude these keywords.

This is an issue we'll try to address in an upcoming release.

    Best,

    Taylor
