I have set an increasing capacity for Hydroelectric power plants over time. However, in my results, inputs for hydropower reduce over time, and I don't know why!

At least, hydropower should be stable.

There are other capacities growing, such as natural gas turbines, etc.

I have tried to modify merit order, but it does not offer the expected results.

    Thanks everyone!

    Jorge,

There are a large number of factors which determine how your plants are dispatched to meet electricity requirements. Installed capacity is important, but increasing capacity does not necessarily imply increasing generation.

A few questions to get you started:
    1) Are the electricity requirements on the module growing over time?
    2) How are you dispatching hydro among your other power plants? If you are using the Merit Order rule, what is the merit order of hydro? If the capacity of plants with equal or lower merit orders is growing more rapidly, then it makes some sense for hydro generation to be reduced.
    3) Does the Maximum Availability of your hydro plant change over time?

If answering these questions doesn't clarify things for you, please feel free to attached a *.leap file to this thread.

    Best,
    Taylor
