Because for many countries (e.g. Greece) there are no starter data sets available is there any chance I could have access to any starter data set of any country in order to help me set a starting model and help me understading better the whole LEAP project? As Freedonia is quite a simplistic example!

    Hi Apostolos,

I'm afraid that the main data provider for our starter datasets forbids us from distributing data for OECD countries. However, feel free to review our starter dataset notes, for a list of important sources we use in order to begin constructing your own.

I'm happy to answer any specific technical questions that arise, here on the forums.

    Best,

    Taylor

But l don't quite get it, if l was from a country that is already listed in the Leap starter data wouldn't l have right to download the package for my country? Now that my country is considered developed why is it so difficult and such a big deal to get a starter data set of another already listed country instead of waiting for the time that such a data set would be available for my country? And l mean any other country just to figure out Leap's Plot.

Of course l have already checked the 'Notes on Using National €œStarter€ Data Sets for LEAP'

    Hi Apostolos,

In order for us to continue offering our Starter data sets for eligible countries, it's important that we honor our agreement with the main data provider (the IEA). This means that me must take steps to abide by their terms or risk not being able to offer any data sets at all.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

    Taylor
