    Dear Taylor, Dear Charlie
For my analysis, I am using countries grouped under Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. However when I want to see the results under these regional groupings separated by branches, I can not do so. Either I can only see results by regional groupings but then branches information is lost or branches but no regional groupings (just individual country or all regions). Could you please help what could be wrong?
    Many thanks,
    Mukesh

    Hi Mukesh,

I'm not quite clear on the result you're trying to generate. Can you provide me with an exact list of steps which you have taken to set up a result, using LEAP's result view, and point out what dimension is missing?

If you display results by branches (selecting All Branches on the right side of the chart), and then Selected Regions in the selection box at the top of the chart, will this generate the result you want?

    Best,
    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,
Thanks, I am doing multi-country analysis to estimate final energy demand and GHG emissions from the two region groupings - Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Ideally, I would like to see the results under these two region groupings separated by branches (enduses). As you suggest, if I display results by branches (selecting All Branches on the right side of the chart), and then Select Regions in the selection box at the top of the chart, the result revert to India only (the country that is used to inherit expressions). This also lets me to see result by All Regions but not for the selected regions as I'd like to. If I select Regions from the right side of the chart then I lose the branches information. Hope this clarifies my question.
    Regards,
    Mukesh

    Hi Mukesh,

Would you be able to display your selected regions using the menu on the right side of the chart, and then separate by branches using the selector on the x-axis? This would, of course, require you to generate separate result charts for each year.

    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,
Yes, I am able to display my selected regions using the menu on the right side of the chart, and then separate by branches using the selector on the x-axis. This however, as you mention, generates separate result charts for each year.

But as mentioned, I would like to see the results under the two regional groupings separated by branches (end-uses).
    Thanks,
    Mukesh

    Hi Mukesh,

LEAP is able to display results by regional groupings by selecting "All Regions" on the x-axis and selecting the "Region Groups" checkbox above the chart (you will need to click the "More" option to show the advanced chart options). Ensure "All Branches" is chosen on the right drop-down menu.

In this situation, the graph shows data for one year at a time. If you are looking to show multiple years on one graph while also displaying region groups and branches separately, then we suggest exporting the data for each year into Excel and manually creating a graph that suits your needs. To export data, go to the "Table" tab and click on the "Open Table in Excel" icon on the right.

Hopefully this helps. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Emily and Taylor

Thanks Emily and Taylor, although bit tedious to collect each years data but at least this does provide a means to obtain the results the way I need :-)
