    Hello,
I am trying to modeling an energy policy for just one scenario (out of 4) of my study.
I would like to increase on-grid generation to
add 160 GW of new capacity by 2025.
I tried a couple of solution that didnt work.

1.I try to add this at the exogenous capacity branch under the electricity generation process but since I dont know precisely which module, process, energy will be increased, I couldnt play with that branch. It is the total electricity generation capacity that must be increased.

    2. I did try also to to use the optimisation process but I received a message warning me that the optimization must be set up for all scenarios for the model.
Any idea of what I can do modelise this total capacity expansion?
    Many thanks for your help
    Regards
    Nadia

    Nadia,

What exactly does the policy state? Does the policy specify what type of capacity is to be added? If so, then you would increase the Exogenous Capacity of the appropriate process. Recall the differences between Exogenous and Endogenous Capacity:

    http://www.energycommunity.org/WebHelpPro/Transformation/Capacties.htm

    http://www.energycommunity.org/WebHelpPro/Transformation/Endogenous_Capacity.htm

Otherwise, it's up to you to determine which power plants will be added to meet your 160 MW target (I assume you mean MW, not GW).

Can you clarify what you mean when you say that you don't know which module to make changes to?
