I had LEAP version 2015.0.14 installed on my notebook, and it tried to make autoupdate over a public hotspot (very poor bandwidth). Obviously it failed, but for reasons I don't know, LEAP assumed i had no internet, no matter what network i am connected.

Update function is always disabled, auto and manual update are disabled. I tried to make a full reinstall (uninstall and reinstall) of a newer version 2015.0.16. It installed correctly, but update function is still unavailable (auto and manual update), and user options still says "no internet".

    Thanks!

    Hi Francisco,

This is actually a bug in recent versions of LEAP that we've identified which means that LEAP does not recognize a valid internet connection. Until it is resolved, you'll need to directly download newer versions of the software as they become available, as opposed to using build-in the Help: Check for Updates option.

To help us with a solution, would you mind providing us with some of your system information? If this is possible (we appreciate it), please open one of your LEAP areas on your computer, click "Save", and then attach the file located at Documents\LEAP Areas\name_of_your_area\sysinfo.txt to an email, and send it to leap@sei-us.org.

Sorry for any inconvenience - we hope to resolve this shortly,

    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

I'm having the same problem as Francisco with not being able to update LEAP automatically despite having a live internet connection and was wondering if it's been fixed yet? If not, do I need to uninstall LEAP before I download a newer LEAP version to update?

    Thanks,
    Nina

    Hi all,

This should be fixed now in LEAP v2015.0.20. Please let me know if you are still having problems after updating.

You can update by downloading from the COMMEND/LEAP web site or using the menu option Help: Check for Updates in LEAP.

    Best,

    Charlie
