    Greetings,

As I knew, adding process (which means power plant) in LEAP under Electricity Generation branch is determined by fuel type of power plant. I have question :

    1. Is there possible if we have power plant with dual-fuel input to be modelled in LEAP?
Because in my research object, we have Machine-Gas Power Plant which has dual-fuel input from Natural Gas and Diesel (let's say 60:40 Natural Gas:Diesel respectively).
and, How to add those 2 fuels simultaneously everytime we add a process of power plant in LEAP? Because there are such huge number of power plant that I have to input in LEAP, so it will be taxing if I have to edit and input those 2 fuels type one by one.

Thank you so much for anybody who reply and answer my questions. I really appreciate it.

    Best Regards,
    Tri Ilham Wicaksono

    Hello,

    1. Adding multiple feedstock fuels is absolutely possible. To do this, first expand on the individual process branch (in your case, the Machine-Gas Power Plant branch) to view its Feedstock Fuels. Then, right-click on the Feedstock Fuels branch to add another fuel (click on Add) and update the fuel shares in the "Feedstock Fuel Share" tab. I've attached an example branch structure of a duel-fuel power plant to this post for your reference.

    2. LEAP includes many features which help save time when building large data sets, such as the ability to copy branches from the tree and paste them elsewhere in the tree. The best way to create multiple processes with many feedstock fuels is through this method. For example, you can duplicate a process and its feedstock fuels by right-clicking on the individual process branch in the tree, selecting "Copy branches" selecting the module's "Processes" branch, and right-clicking to select "Paste Branches".

On a side note, there are also many tools to import data quickly and directly from Excel into LEAP. Here are some links for more information:

    Thanks and good luck!

    Emily

    Hi Emily

Thank you so much for valuable guidance. I have just known from your answer that LEAP has amazing feature "Create Branches from Excel" that import all the data simultaneously as far as we set the column header matched with LEAP's expression and the unit conversion between LEAP and Excel is properly set.

    Thank you
