    Hello,

    Here is the scenario:
    • I have a multi-regional model
    • I utilize the regional trade capabilities in LEAP
    • I am viewing Results - Transformation - Electricity Generation - Process - Cost of Production - Capital Costs - Real Costs (years 2010-2050)
    Here is the problem:
    • I get the correct annualized capital costs for each process only when "Assume no regional trade" is selected in the Basic Parameters - Calculations
    • If the "Assume no regional trade" is un-selected (which is desirable), all of the annualized capital costs increases by exactly 2 times the correct values

Thank you in advance for the support,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

I can confirm this on my computer - thanks for pointing this out so clearly.

We'll look more carefully into the problem and hope to fix it in an upcoming version of LEAP. In the meantime, all that I can suggest is that you include a multiplicative factor for all Transformation Capital Costs (perhaps use a Key Assumption for this) which is set equal to 0.5. Once the problem is resolved, you will be able to set its value to 1.0 (or remove it altogether).

    Sorry for the trouble,
    Taylor

Hi Matt - this should be fixed in 2018.0.1.2, which you can download here. We'd be interested in hearing back frm you if this is still relevant for you.

    Best,
    Taylor
