LEAP is demand driven. The supply from other energy sources to meet the demand is well catered for. But the biomass supply, i find it challenging. When look at the resources, it gives wood and the Yield. I wanted to have access in the LEAP where information such as land area and accessibility can be found. I got some very useful information from the Help. But I do now how to accesses it from the Analysis MENU

    Hi Adam,

LEAP does not store any default information about land cover. The Yield variable is simply used to enter the annual energetic availability of renewable resources. You are free to calculate this in any way you wish.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Sebit Adam,

I have also the same issue. I want to know how biomass energy cross might generate value in the energy chain and soil&landscape. I think we do have to consider the landscape aspects in a separate analysis, for instance, to calculate the ammount of biochar that can be used to improve soil fertility.

I would like to interact with you on this issue.
