Topic: Import hourly shape January DaySubscribe | Previous | Next
  • Julie Emmrich 6/10/2017

    Hello,

when I import my hourly demand (energy load shape, % of annual load) in MWh or percentage values, LEAP does not provide me with average values, therefore my graph starts at 100% on January Day and stays at 0% after that until December Night.

Any ideas what the problem could be? I named my list and LEAP recognises my named list, so this is not the issue.

I also have a running model, and when I import the data with excel file I was provided for the model it does the same, so I assume I am doing something wrong when importing the data.

    Looking forward to support.

    BR

    Hi Julie,

To start, I was wondering if you were running the latest version of LEAP (v 2017.0.9.0)? It is important to stay up-to-date as the newer versions include fixes that may resolve the issue you are having.

I am not seeing any obvious reasons for the problem you are having. Though I am sure you have done this already, please ensure that the correct data is selected in Excel when naming the list. Also, do not change the shape type after you import the data because this will reset the values.

After you are importing the data, are you seeing any values in the average value column, or does it import everything as 0? If you would like us to take a closer look at the problem, please send us the Excel file so I can try to import the data myself. To do this, either reply and attach the file to this post, or email it to leap@sei-us.org.

    Thanks!
    Emily
