Topic: Social costs results not showing for transformationSubscribe | Previous | Next

My models are no longer showing Social Costs results for the Transformation branch (or any branches below this branch). It used to work, which makes me think it may have to do with a newer LEAP version? Currently the Social Costs results show for my Demand branches only.

I have checked Scope & Scale under Basic Parameters. Costs are selected. Social Costs, Module Cost Balance and Cost of Production are selected in the Result Variables to Save. I am running the latest version of LEAP (2017.0.11.0).

I use the Transformation Social Costs results to calculate the electricity price growth rate that I insert as a key variable for calculating electricity demand costs, but I can no longer do this. Please help.

    Hi Zanie -

Check under Basic Params: Costs, and verify that the Cost-Benefit Calculation Boundary is set appropriately (or that you have not recently accidentally changed it). If this excludes one or more transformation modules, then you will not see costs entered within these modules when you view results.

This page gives a few more details about the cost-benefit boundary:

    http://www.energycommunity.org/WebHelpPro/Concepts/Transformation_Cost_Calculations.htm

Also verify that costs are enabled for each relevant transformation module, in their module properties.

    Hope this helps,

    Taylor

Thanks. The cost-benefit calculation boundary was the issue. It was on Final Demands rather than Complete Energy System.
