    Hi,
In WEAP-LEAP Tutorial, I am interested in using LEAP's result (output of LEAP) in WEAP. How can I do it?

As I understand, in Expression Builder (in WEAP), I can use LEAP Branches (like attached image) to use LEAP's value in WEAP. But, what are this branches? are they input values (the data I can see in Analysis View in LEAP) or they are output values (the data I can see in Results View in LEAP).

    Hi Mostafa -

The expression builder in WEAP is designed to allow you to drag and drag branches into the field below - however, the function for making references to LEAP variables is currently broken. You will need to type the full reference (in branch:variable format) into the expression field in WEAP, wrapped in the LEAPValue() function.

    Hope this helps,
    Taylor

    Thank you for your comment.
Actually, I had this problem for Drag&Drop, and I found that I should type it. But, this is not my question.
Let me explain in another way. In LEAP, when we want to use a variable from WEAP, we have a form to select which variable from which component (the attached image). As you can see, we can see the type of variable can be Data or Result; that shows the variable is input (Date) or output (Result) of the WEAP's simulation.
I want to know what is the approach in WEAP to using LEAP's variables. From WEAP perspective, are the used variable of LEAP, input variables (Data) or output variables (Result)?
    Thanks.

    Hi Mostafa -

WEAP is designed to read both "data" and "result"-type variables from LEAP in the same way that LEAP can read WEAP variables. The type of variable - data or result - does not affect the syntax of the expression that you would enter into WEAP.

    Does this help?

(As I mentioned before) Suppose I am in LEAP Environment right now. When I want to read variables from WEAP, I have a window which shows variables with their type. Two variable types; Data and Result (it shows the source of a variable). Now, suppose I am in WEAP environment and I am going to use LEAP's variables. Now, how can I distinguish the source of a variable (Data or Result)? because we just have a tree-view here without any variable type.

    Hi Mostafa,

This information is not available when you create the variable reference. You would need to verify within LEAP whether the variable is of type "data" or "result".

If you have further questions, can you confirm the version of LEAP and of WEAP that you're using? I just want to ensure that we're on teh same page going forward.

    Best,
