    Dear concern:
    Good Day!

In Demand Analysis I have 'Branch' (normal category) for cooking demands wich contains three 'Technology with Energy Intensity' (Wood, Charcoal, LPG). I have 'Final Energy Intensity' data for them, but I don't have any percentage share data for each technology for 'Activity Level'. Is there anyway that LEAP can calculate percentage share from final energy intensity data.
    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Abdullah Fahad

    Hi Adbullah,

How are your final energy intensities defined (i.e. what is the denominator)? Are they expressed per household, per person, etc?

If you have only the Final Energy Intensity for a fuel, but you do not know the number of units which consume that fuel (i.e. households, persons...) then you do not have sufficient information to define the Activity Level. If you know the total consumption of fuel for the whole branch or sector, then you may effectively spread this consumption over all activity units by assigning "100 Percent Saturation" as the activity level for each technology. This has the physical interpretation that 100% of all households/persons/activity units are "saturated" with the requirement for the fuel, even though you do not have enough information to allocate each fuel to specific units of consumption.

    Hope this helps,
    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

Thank you. I think I understood what I was doing wrong.
