    Hello!

I'm trying to enter data for solar and wind resources in the Yield section of Primary Resources branch. Is there any possibility there to enter energy specified per unit of land area (e.g. kWh/m2)?

    Thank you!

    Hi Maya,

The Yield variable expects only to see a quantity of energy available per year. If you wish to provide LEAP with kWh/m2/year, then you would also need to multiply this by the total area. For the sake of transparency, you may do this directly in LEAP's expressions:

(energy per area, per year) * (area available)

You might find it useful to store the area in a separate user-defined variable, which you can refer to in your multiplication calculation.

    Hope this helps,
    Taylor
