    Hi all,

I'm using LEAP 2018.0.1.2 (32-bit) on Windows 7. I'm working on scrappage for stock-rollover (for both the regular rollover and the transportation rollover categories). Based on my reading of the "Max Scrappage Fraction" help file, this is a scalar between 0 and 100 which is applied to all vintages. Is my reading of that correct? I'd like to implement a scrappage which allows me to implement a variable amount of scrappage as a function of vintage (i.e. retire up to 5% of vintages 0-5, 30% of vintages 6-10, 50% of vintages 10+, etc). It looks like the current formulation does not allow this, but I wanted to check in with the community more broadly in case anyone had to deal with this issue.

    Thank you!
    Sharad

    Hi Sharad -

You're correct. The implementation of the Scrappage and Max Scrappage Fraction variables does not allow you to selectively scrap vintages. Instead, LEAP begins scrapping the oldest vintage devices and and works successively through newer vintages as needed to meet your total scrappage target.

    Best,
    Taylor
