Hi,
I am encountering some challenges in assigning wood as an indigenous resource. Yield Tab under Resources only appears for solar and but for wood. How can I resolve this to have wood as an indigenous resource instead of imports

Hi Themba,
If you would like to specify a Yield for wood resources, ensure wood is identified as a renewable resource in LEAP. To do this, go into the Fuels dialog box (General --> Fuels) and change the Fuel Type for wood to "Renewable Resource" (as shown on the attached screenshot). This should enable wood to be shown under the Yield tab under the Resources branch.

Thank you so much. I managed to get the Yield Tab. The challenge is that wood still appears as an import even after assigning the annual yield under resources.

Hi Themba,
Glad it worked. Also, please note that resources are only imported under the following circumstances:
- if the demand for a resource exceeds its its availability (for example, if the annual resource yield is insufficient to meet demands)
- if a Resource Import is specified under the Resources branch
- if an Import Target or the ImportToMeetShortfall Rule is applied in a Transformation module (this is only relevant if a resource is an output fuel)
If you do not want to show a certain resource as being "imported", you can use the Unmet Requirements variable under the Resources Branch to choose what happens when the demand for a resource exceeds its availability. By default, "MeetWithImports" is selected, but other options are available by clicking the orange "E" at the end of the Expression box.
