    Greetings,

    1. Why do we use "Energy Load Shape" as system load shape in our Transformation Branch when we're activating Optimize feature in LEAP, instead of using "Peak Load Shape"?
    2. When we're using Energy Load Shape, how do LEAP can calculate peak load value (MW) per timeslices if LEAP did not know the value of peak load in each time slice, and so then how do LEAP can dispatch Electricity Generator in Transformation branch properly to be able fulfilling the demand requirement (MW) in Demand branch?

Thank you for anyone who will answer my question.

    Hi Wicaksono,

Sorry for the delayed response. LEAP can easily convert an Energy Load Shape to a Peak Load Shape, and vice versa. So even though the Optimization requires an Energy Load Shape to be specified, LEAP can still estimate the peak load value (I've outlined the steps involved in this calculation in another thread here: https://www.energycommunity.org/default.asp?action=9&tid=4068&fid=22).

    Thanks,
    Emily

    Hi Ghosh

Thank you for your explanation about energy load shape and peak load shape.
